At its core, Paolita is a brand ushered by both an insatiable desire to travel the world and an absolute necessity to look effortlessly chic while doing so. The brand takes inspiration from the multicultural buzz of London, the laid-back lifestyle of Greece where Anna Paola, the founder, grew up, and the warmth and spirit of South America.

Each of their prints is meticulously hand-drawn at their studio over many months and printed onto their fabrics in Como, Italy. The collections are crafted in Europe focusing exclusively on quality and impeccable fit by a team of skillful technicians and artisans. The shapes and styles of the swim and resort wear are designed to be flattering, sophisticated, and timeless. Items that women can wear and love for years to come.

Over the years, Paolita has developed a loyal following of women looking for something completely unique, where the artistry that is integral to this brand shines through. With each new collection there is a changing story, a different creative vision and since no patterns are ever repeated, a dazzling new selection of prints.

More than just creating wonderful pieces and representing timeless effervescent luxury, Paolita also believes that social and environmental responsibility is paramount in every aspect of their work. They make sure they consider their impact on this planet and surrounding communities, in any way they can.

Their first step was ensuring their swimwear is made from 100% repurposed waste materials - materials that are otherwise unusable and would be disposed of as external waste. They are regenerated via a mechanical process that doesn’t involve any chemical material and that limits CO2 emissions and the consumption of water. The fabrics used in their swimwear meet three Environmental Certifications: Global Recycled Standard, EU ECOLABEL (EC Regulation n. 66/2010), and HIGG INDEX.

Excitingly, from the launch of their AW21 collection, the brand has also introduced Carbon Offsetting into their supply chain and is proud to announce that they will officially be Carbon Neutral. With the help of London-based company ‘CARBN’, they have estimated the impact of this collection and offset this impact by funding a planet-saving project; The Utsil Naj Programme which hits the UN’s sustainability goals. It was established in 2012 and covers Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras.

Further, the Utsil Naj Programme helps communities in Latin America improve their quality of life, have quality education, affordable and clean energy, decent work and economic growth, and fight poverty. This project also aims to educate and help the communities face the challenges of climate change by supplying improved cookstoves to households - which reduces tCO2 and ultimately contributes to preventing deforestation, forest degradation, and maintaining biodiversity.

The project is certified by the prestigious Gold Standard. Its impacts on communities and our planet are carefully measured and reported as contributions to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) defined by the United Nations (UN).
