It all started with Leala's beloved mother, Alice. Alice started this company 30 years ago on the Big Island of Hawai'i. Her driving impulse was love - love of flowers, Hawai’i, and human beings. She embodied the spirit of Aloha. And so, her company evolved to actualize that love.
When Alice passed, the family decided to maintain her beautiful and heartfelt legacy. They renamed it Ua Body, which signifies rain in Hawaiian, and serves as a reminder that nature is a powerful healer and that we, in turn, must nurture and protect the earth.
Ua Body's natural, clean, and vegan skincare products are all handcrafted in small batches in its workshop in Hawai’i. The brand creates and is proud of its high-quality, additive-free formulas that consist of natural and native ingredients that replenish, hydrate, and protect the skin.
In an effort to reduce single-use plastic, their packaging comes in glass and paper. To further this effort, 1.5% of each sale goes to the Hawai'i Conservation Alliance - a partnership of organizations and agencies working together to provide unified leadership, and collaborative action to conserve and restore native ecosystems and the unique biodiversity of Hawai’i.
