Combining contemporary design with traditional Andean knitting techniques, ELEVEN SIX offers an effortless, yet elevated approach to knit dressing. As a mother, wife, and entrepreneur, Catherine designs for the modern woman needing a versatile wardrobe to suit a lifestyle of work, travel, and play. The majority of their knitwear collections are produced by highly skilled artisan men and women in Peru. They partner with three, small family-owned businesses that in turn work with networks of smaller workshops and cooperatives predominantly outside of Lima, Peru.

In addition, as a brand, they continue to challenge themselves in ways they can further reduce their impact on the planet.

Inspired by Peru’s rich heritage of craftsmanship in textiles, modern separates are created from the finest spun Alpaca yarns. They exclusively use yarn that is natural, sustainable, eco-friendly, and ethical at the source of its manufacturing. For their yarn source, they work with two prestigious and fair-trade certified Peruvian, Alpaca mills that adhere to the highest, sustainable standards. These Peruvian mills work with OEKOTEX 100 and REACH certified dyes to ensure transparency in the dying process, showing that they are not using toxic, non-environmentally friendly substances. They all comply with EU and US regulations.

They use materials/yarns at the source of their manufacturing in order to reduce their carbon footprint. When shipping to online customers, they always utilize the UPS's carbon neutral option that supports projects that offset the emissions of the shipment's transport.

Their bulk production is crafted to-order to prevent additional waste and surplus. Predominantly, they use stock service yarns in order to use almost exact quantities and avoid yarn wastage. Where possible, they up-cycle any dead stock into new developments and wish to drive into the up-cycle concept further. They ship their products from manufacturers using 100% compostable poly bags. They also use recyclable cardboard boxes, unreinforced, kraft tape, and tissue paper to ship to their customers.

Committed to supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses, ELEVEN SIX looks forward to contributing to the education of future craftsmen and women as well as supporting their business, health, and welfare needs through their Give-back initiative project. And lastly, for each order made, ELEVEN SIX plants a tree. They have partnered with the One Tree Planted organization to plant a tree for each online order in the Andes region close to the brand's knitwear production.
