Growing up by the Caribbean Sea of Colombia, Designer Adriana Dangond was always drawn to the vibrant colors and spontaneity of laid-back living. Swimsuits and beachwear were at the core of her family life, as their bonding moments were always surrounded by sand and sea.
With the growing need to explore her creative vision as a designer, Adriana partnered up with her sister Ana Cecilia to make her ideas come to life. Their main goal was to merge impeccable fit with unique, Caribbean-inspired prints that were appropriate for young families to shop and wear together.
In 2011, Mola Mola was born. They named the brand after a unique moonfish that can be found in all parts of the ocean, with the vision of seeing their pieces worn all over the world. Currently, they reside between Barranquilla and Bogotá, successfully managing a brick-and-mortar, online, and wholesale business with a presence in more than 12 cities.
Mola Mola, is the extension of every person who vibrates with the waves, nautical sports, life in front of the sea, and everything that surrounds the resort stage, always with the premise of femininity and fashion as the best allies of any day of sun and beach.
Proudly BIPOC and female-led, Mola Mola pieces are handmade by skilled artisans in Colombia using sustainable and/or recycled materials.
